I’m looking forward to next week’s Winter Leadership meeting of the ABA Litigation Section, and not just because we’re gathering in Marco Island, Florida!  This meeting will be focusing on the benefits of membership in the Section, and how we can improve both the benefits and the way we communicate them to attorneys.  I had a chance to talk today with Chris Gloede, the ABA’s Chief Marketing Officer, who will be joining us in Florida.  Among other things, Chris will be sharing insights from research into what our members value most, and how we can use social media more effectively.  Speaking of member benefits, the Judicial Intern Opportunity Program steering committee will also be meeting to discuss plans for this summer’s program.  If you’re an ABA member who’d like to be involved in screening law student candidates for paid summer internships with federal and state judges, please let me know and I’ll get you set up.
